A very very important tip that I am always personally working on is to have fun, smile, laugh, and even dance if necessary with your client… You want to get the best most natural expressions from your clients so you need to be real. After all, that is why they hired you, right?
With all the settings on your camera, the lighting to worry about, the reflector, your equipments, ahhhhh! Now they expect us to chat at the same time. Of course they do, practice makes perfect, soon all those settings will just be second nature.
The key is to never stop talking. We never want to have those awkward silences. It makes our customers feel like maybe we are not getting the shots we want and now they are wondering what they may be doing wrong?
That will definitely alter their expressions in a bad way! Just have fun and hang out with your clients. They will tell their friends how much fun they had with their photographer and it was not anything like they expected.
This Tip works whether it is Boudoir, senior portraits, families, or any other session!
